Wrapper: Reddish oakwood brown, oily with a slight rough texture but with tiny veins.

Construction: Firm even feel when lightly squeezed.

Cold draw: Barnyard, oakwood and chestnuts.

1st third: Starts of with a earthy dark chocolate, old dark oakwood, mineral rich soil and a sweet spice mix of cinnamon and nutmeg.

Feels like I’m sitting in a old English house, with its well worn furniture, bookcases and muddy boots that’s been out in the fields.

2nd third: The previous flavours keeps on a steady flow but with hints of roasted chestnuts and golden nougat.

Burn: Burns sharp with a firm and stable white ash.

Smoke: Medium voluminous smoke with a cool feeling on the tongue and with a light draw.

3rd third: Now I’m getting hints of dried fruits like raisins, apricots and plums and a light floral hint added. While still retaining all of the previous flavours, it’s a very cozy and delicious mix. On the retrohale I’m getting hints of fir.

Duration: 17:05-19:05, 2h.

Conclusion: A medium bodied cigar with a medium strength profile. Very few cigars are as good as this one, truly a masterpiece cigar.

It’s the perfect “bring back old memories” cigar, if you’ve grown up near farmland in Europe. Bringing nice scents and tastes of the forest, a log cabin or even an old English study. This is a cigar that should be enjoyed alone, so you can really reminisce about being together in a warm place and really appreciate the flavours fully.

Result: In my book this is an 97 point cigar.
