607. Casdagli Club Mareva Beirut The Origins Exclusive Lebanon Toro

Bought from Club Mareva Beirut.

Location: This review was made outdoors during a partially clouded afternoon, with 13C and a air humidity of 73%.
After one third it started to rain, luckily I sat under a roof covering and the air humidity rose to 75%.

Wrapper: Dark milk chocolate, oily and silky smooth with tiny veins.

Construction: Medium firm and even when lightly squeezed.

Cold draw: Earthy, oakwood and slight herbal notes.

1st third: Starts with a slight tangy taste of orange milk chocolate, medium roasted coffee, toasted brioche buns and a light woody note in the background.

2nd third: A floral note combined with white and black pepper spices up the second part, while still retaining the previous flavours flowing nicely.

Burn: Burns sharp with a firm and fairly stable whiteish ash. (I’m sitting outdoors, so it might affect the burn).

Smoke: Medium voluminous smoke with a cool feeling on the tongue and a medium light draw.

3rd third: There’s a French nougat sweetness that’s been lingering since the beginning but hasn’t stepped forward until now. It’s joining beautifully with orange milk chocolate, light floral and woody notes. With a very slight pepper note in the background.

Duration: 16:05-17:15, 1h 10min.

Conclusion: A full bodied cigar with a medium strength profile. Complex yet well balanced from start to finish. I know I would be able to smoke this cigar for a longer time if I sat indoors, but you don’t always have the luxury of a cigar lounge handy. So hopefully this beautiful demonstration of what this cigar can do during a rainy afternoon can be amplified by you enjoying it indoors.

I really hope this cigar or a variation of this blend makes it to regular production, as I think it would be an excellent addition to the Club Mareva line-up.

Result: In my book this is an 96 point cigar.
