Location: This review was made indoors in Mellgrens cigar lounge.
Information:
Partagás is a current pre-Revolution brand, established circa 1827.
The range comprises full-strength cigars, using tobacco from the premium Vuelta Abajo region in Cuba.
Dress Box of 10 cigars.
Size: 6.3×50, Double Robusto (Magnum 50).
Wrapper: Milk chocolate, oily and silky-smooth with small veins.
Construction: Firm even feel when lightly squeezed.
Cold draw: Milk chocolate and cedarwood.
1st third: Starts with a rich note of cedarwood, milk chocolate and digestive biscuits.
2nd third: Flavourwise it’s the same but with a spicy kick to it, tingling on the tongue and harsh feel in the back of the mouth.
Burn: Burns fairly sharp with a stable and firm white/gray ash.
Smoke: Voluminous white smoke with a medium heat feel on the tongue and a light draw.
3rd third: Keeps it’s sharp points and flavours from previous parts.
Duration: 20:30-22:00, 1h 30m.
Conclusion: A medium bodied cigar with a medium to full strength profile.
Result: In my book this is an 88 point cigar.
