Wrapper: Chestnut brown, oily and fairly smooth texture with small veins.
Construction: Firm and even feel when lightly squeezed.
Cold draw: Dried fruits, oakwood and brown sugar.
1st third: Dark walnut wood, roasted chestnuts, ginger with a fresh and lively spice, figs and brown sugar sweetness.
2nd third: Turns a bit more heavy on the darker notes of wood, earthy and cacao while still retaining the ginger spice and figs sweetness just a bit more in the background.
Burn: Burns fairly sharp with a firm but not so stable white-ish ash.
Smoke: Medium voluminous smoke with a medium cool feeling on the tongue with a medium light draw.
3rd third: Keeps on the same path from previous parts.
Duration: 19:15-20:30, 1h 15min
Conclusion: A full bodied cigar with a full strength profile. In the line up of Villa Casdagli that I’ve tried so far this is definitely the most full powered one, but it’s oh so enjoyable even for a person like me who doesn’t like to smoke heavier cigars.
Result: In my book this is an 91 point cigar.
