Wrapper: Milk chocolate brown, oily and tight texture feel with tiny veins.

Construction: Firm and even feel when lightly squeezed, the boxpressed body.

Cold draw: Light oakwood, tin metal & grains.

1st third: Starts with almonds, light oakwood, nutmeg, cacao & freshly baked farm bread.

2nd third: No changes.

Burn: Burns unevenly with a firm and flakey white ash. Had to correct the burn an unfair few times.

Smoke: Medium voluminous smoke with a medium heat feel on the tongue with a light draw.

3rd third: Slight white pepper spice added to the mix.

Duration: 15:20-17:00, 1h 40min.

Conclusion: A medium bodied cigar with a medium strength profile. Fairly unchanged throughout while not giving me that special feeling I felt in the Personal Reserve.

Result: In my book this is a 90 point cigar.

  1. Interesting. I really loved this cigar. Wouldn’t mind seeing you do a comparison with the 77 Anejo Shark.

    • I have the Anejo Shark so I might try it out soon, from what I remember from smoking it a couple of years back, it’s a much fuller bodied cigar. But it will be great to do a proper review on it.
