Wrapper: Coffee bean, oily and silky smooth with small protuding veins.
Construction: Fairly firm and even when lightly squeezed.
Cold draw: Light wood note.
1st third: Starts with a pick a mix of nuts, lightly charred pinewood, rye bread and smoked meats.
2nd third: In the second part we get more of a black & white pepper lingering around in the mouth and in the retrohale. It is certainly drying the mouth out at the moment.
Burn: Burns wonky but with a firm and stable whiteish ash. The burn line corrects itself after the ash is tipped off.
Smoke: Voluminous smoke with a cool feeling on the tongue and with a light draw.
3rd third: It keeps the previous flavours with a plum sweetness appearing in the last part to round it off.
Duration: 20:30-21:30, 1h.
Conclusion: A medium to full bodied cigar with a medium strength profile. The word Intenso is very misleading as this cigar is far from being an intense cigar, I would rather say flavourful in the flavours that presents itself. Sure it has its pepper notes, but nothing really intense. Also not heavy in nicotine.
Result: In my book this is an 91 point cigar.
