503. Montecristo Reserva Negra Corona Maduro Aged 2015

From my own collection.

Location: This review was made indoors in Mellgrens Fine Tobacco’s cigar lounge.

Wrapper: Mexican San Andres
Binder: Nicaragua
Filler: Nicaragua & Honduras

Size: 5×44, Corona.

Wrapper: Dark chocolate, oily and rough with small veins.

Construction: Fairly firm with some softspots with and uneven feel.

Cold draw: Dried fruits and hay.

1st third: Start with a black pepper, oakwood, walnut and 80% dark chocolate.

2nd third: Keeps it’s previous flavours steady.

Burn: Burns fairly sharp with a firm and stable white ash.

Smoke: Voluminous smoke with a cool feeling on the tongue and a medium tight draw.

3rd third: Keeps the same from previous parts.

Duration: 19:20-20:40, 1h 20min.

Conclusion: A full bodied cigar with a full strength profile.

Result: In my book this is an 89 point cigar.
