492. BOTL Sweden The Oak Aged 2012

Gifted back in 2014 by Yelitze Enchenique Lokrantz, former owner of BOTL Shop Sweden.

Location: This review was made indoors in Mellgrens Fine Tobacco’s cigar lounge.

Information:
Wrapper: Honduras
Binder: Honduras
Filler: Honduras

Size: 6.1×54, Torpedo.

Wrapper: Coffee bean, oily and smooth with tiny veins.

Construction: A medium soft but even feel when lightly squeezed.

Cold draw: Oakwood.

1st third: Starts with a rich dark roasted coffee like an espresso, earthy sweetness and oakwood.

2nd third: No changes in taste.

Burn: Burns fairly sharp with a firm but unstable whiteish ash.

Smoke: Medium voluminous smoke with a cool feeling on the tongue and a medium light draw.

3rd third: Keeps a well balanced flavour profile until the very end.

Duration: 12:45-14:15, 1h 30min.

Conclusion: A full bodied cigar with a medium strength profile. I never tried these cigars when they where new, but now after 8 years, they have aged well, still keeping a well balanced flavour profile.

Result: In my book this is an 87 point cigar.
