Location: This review was made indoors in Mellgrens Fine Tobacco’s cigar lounge.
Information:
Wrapper: Ecuador
Binder: Nicaragua
Filler: Honduras, Nicaragua and an undisclosed country
Size: 6.1×52, Cañonazo.
Wrapper: Milk chocolate, oily and silky smooth with tiny veins.
Construction: Firm even feel when lightly squeezed.
Cold draw: Whipped cream, milk chocolate and light wood.
1st third: Starts with a creamy milk chocolate, light cedarwood and baking spice in the background.
2nd third: Keeps a well balanced flavour profile.
Burn: Burns fairly sharp with a firm and stable white ash.
Smoke: Voluminous smoke with a medium cool feeling on the tongue and a medium light draw.
3rd third: Well balanced until the very end.
Duration: 18:15-19:15, 1h.
Conclusion: A mild to medium bodied cigar with a mild strength profile. I’ve smoked La Ley before and I really love them and this cigar proved that I was right. This really fits my tasting palette.
Result: In my book this is an 91 point cigar.
