469. Cohiba Siglo V Vintage 2008

From my own collection.

Location: This review was made indoors in Mellgrens Fine Tobacco’s cigar lounge.

Information:
Wrapper: Cuba
Binder: Cuba
Filler: Cuba

Size: 6.7×43, Lonsdale (Dalias).

Wrapper: Milk chocolate, oily and smooth with tiny veins.

Construction: Firm even feel when lightly squeezed.

Cold draw: Light cedarwood note.

1st third: Starts with a light cedarwood note, followed by a creamy cappuccino and hazelnuts.

2nd third: It looses it’s cedarwood note now with a soft hay and the coffee in the background.

Burn: Burns a bit wonky, a little flaky but still firm and stable whiteish ash.

Smoke: Light smoke with a cool feeling on the tongue and a tight draw.

3rd third: Livens up a bit with a white pepper spice appearing on the lips. Otherwise keeps the flavours from part 2.

Duration: 20:05-21:15, 1h 10min.

Conclusion: A mild bodied cigar with a mild strength profile.

Result: In my book this is an 87 point cigar.
