463. Montecristo 80th Anniversary Aged 2015

Location: This review was made indoors in Mellgrens Fine Tobacco’s cigar lounge.

Wrapper: Cuba

Filler: Cuba
Limited to 600 000 cigars in boxes of 20 (30 000). Released 2015.

Size: 6.5×55, Double Robusto (Maravillas No.2)

Wrapper: Milk chocolate, oily and silky smooth with tiny veins.

Construction: Firm even feel when lightly squeezed.

Cold draw: Cedarwood and milk chocolate.

1st third: Starts with a creamy milk chocolate note, medium roasted coffee and cedarwood and hazelnuts.

2nd third: Keeps it’s previous flavours.

Burn: Burns sharp with a firm and fairly stable whiteish ash.

Smoke: Voluminous smoke with a cool feeling on the tongue and a light draw.

3rd third: No changes, keeps it’s creamy smooth flavour notes.

Duration: 16:15-17:25, 1h 10min.

Conclusion: A medium bodied cigar with a medium strength profile.

Result: In my book this is an 91 point cigar.
