464. Montecristo No. 4 Aged 2013

Location: This review was made indoors in Mellgrens Fine Tobacco’s cigar lounge.

Information:
Wrapper: Cuba
Binder: Cuba
Filler: Cuba

Size: 5×42, Petit Corona (Mareva).

Wrapper: Milk chocolate, oily and smooth with tiny veins.

Construction: Firm even feel when lightly squeezed.

Cold draw: Light chili pepper note and cedarwood.

1st third: Starts with a cedarwood dry note, followed by espresso and 70% dark chocolate.

2nd third: No distinct changes.

Burn: Burns sharp with a firm and a bit unstable grayish ash.

Smoke: Voluminous smoke with a medium heat feel on the tongue and a light draw.

3rd third: Gets a bit stronger towards the end, the flavours are the same but a notch up from before.

Duration: 17:45-18:45, 1h.

Conclusion: A mild to medium bodied cigar with a medium strength profile.

Result: In my book this is an 89 point cigar.
