297. Quai D’Orsay Edicion Regional Asia Pacífico Superiores 2011

From my own collection.

Location: This review was made indoors in Mellgrens cigar lounge.

Information: It is classified by Habanos SA as a Local brand, and has a minor market share, mainly within France.
The range comprises light strength cigars using tobacco from the premium Vuelta Abajo region in Cuba.
Box of 25 cigars (2,400 made).

Size: 4.9×50, Robusto (Robustos).

Wrapper: Milk chocolate, oily and silky-smooth with tiny veins.

Construction: Firm even feel when lightly squeezed.

Cold draw: Cinnamon sticks and cane sugar.

1st third: Starts with a sweet toasted brioche/croissant bun, hint of pine wood.

2nd third: No changes.

Burn: Burns fairly sharp, whiteish firm and stable ash.

Smoke: Voluminous white smoke with a medium heat feel on the tongue and a light draw.

3rd third: Flavourwise it’s the same, but with some tingling spice on the lips as it gets warmer.

Duration: 17:05-18:10, 1h 5 min.

Conclusion: A mild bodied cigar with a mild strength profile. Perfect in the morning.

Result: In my book this is an 89 point cigar.
