298. Fonseca Edición Regional Benelux Fonseca No.4 2010

From my own collection.

Location: This review was made indoors in Mellgrens cigar lounge.

Information: Fonseca is a current pre-revolution brand, started in 1892 and registered in 1907.
The range comprises light strength cigars, using tobacco from the premium Vuelta Abajo region in Cuba.
Numbered Dress Box of 25 cigars in tissue (1,600 made).

Size: 5×48, Corona Extra (Hermosos No.4).

Wrapper: Milk chocolate, oily and silky-smooth with tiny veins.

Construction: Firm even feel when lightly squeezed.

Cold draw: Pencil wood.

1st third: Starts with a light walnut note, but still smooth.

2nd third: Keeps the same.

Burn: Burns fairly sharp with a firm but not so stable white ash.

Smoke: Light smoke, a cool feeling on the tongue and a tight draw.

3rd third: Gets a hint of lemon peal otherwise no changes in the flavours.

Duration: 18:50-19:45, 55 min.

Conclusion: A mild bodied cigar with a mild strength profile. This cigar has most definitely aged well, when I first bought it back in 2015 it wasn’t as matured and refined as it is now.

Result: In my book this is an 88 point cigar.
