256. Room101 Farce Longsdale Pre-Release 2018

Gifted by Robert Caldwell, owner of Caldwell Cigars, and Martin Nelson, owner of Kind Cigars.

Location: This review was made indoors in Mellgrens cigar lounge.

Information: Farce. It’s a five-size line being produced at Tabacalera William Ventura, a frequent producer of Caldwell cigars, and distributed by Down and Back, LLC, Caldwell’s distribution company.

As for the blend, Farce uses an Ecuadorian wrapper over an Indonesian binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua and Pennsylvania.

Size: 6 1/2, 42, Longsdale.

Wrapper: Coffee bean, oily and smooth feel with tiny veins.

Construction: Firm even feel when lightly squeezed.

Cold draw: Maple wood and a hint of caramel.

1st third: Starts of with a smooth nutty medium roasted coffee, a hint of a pastry like a freshly baked croissant.

2nd third: The flavours continues, but with a subtle hint of chocolate.

Burn: Burning sharp, with a white firm and stable ash.

Smoke: Voluminous white smoke, medium heat feel on the tongue and a light draw.

3rd third: Keeps on with the same flavours from previous parts.

Duration: 16:00-17:30, 1h 30 min.

Conclusion: A medium bodied cigar with a medium to full strength profile. An elegant after a meal cigar, it’s not to heavy but perfect with a coffee as a desert.

Result: In my book this is an 90 point cigar.
