175. Casdagli Daughters of the Wind Sabino Petit Salomone

Gifted by Jeremy Casdagli owner of Bespoke Cigars.

Location: This review was made indoors in a cigar lounge.

Wrapper: Milk chocolate, oily and silky smooth with tiny veins.

Construction: Firm but still a little giving when lightly squeezed.

Cold draw: Creamy and nutty notes.

1st third: Starts with a nutty and creamy sandalwood note.

2nd third: In the second part there’s a growing taste of hazelnut spread like a not so sweet Nutella on a fluffy brioche bun. There is still a clear note of sandalwood in the background keeping the flavours centered in the mouth.

The burn: Burns steady with a white-ish stable and firm ash.

Smoke: Voluminous white smoke with a cool feeling on the tounge and a light draw.

3rd third: Towards the end it got some spicy notes appear up in the roof if the mouth. Otherwise the flavors keeps the same all the way.

Conclusion: What a perfect cigar to enjoy while reading a book about horses or what ever you like to read about. Medium bodied with a medium strength profile. Light draw and great construction. Would have loved to have a XO cognac with this one, maybe next time.

Result: In my book this is an 91 point cigar.
