Bought at Tektor Cigars event last year.
Update: Info and Size.
Information:
Wrapper: Gotland, Connecticut Broadleaf
Binder: Gotland, Connecticut Broadleaf
Filler: Gotland, Connecticut Broadleaf, Criollo 98
Size: 4.8×42, Petit Corona.
Location: This review was made outdoors during a sunny late afternoon, whilst on holiday in the Algarve, Portugal. 27°C.
Wrapper: Light brown, silky smooth with tiny veins.
Construction: Firm even feel.
Cold draw: Light hay notes and a little caramel sweetness.
1st third: Starts with a light wood base, then a very slight caramel sweetness on the background.
2nd third: Keeps the previous smooth flavours but also there is a slight spicy note rising, a chili pepper with its spicy yet sweet note. There is a slight hint of bitter almonds.
The burn: Burns steady and sharp with a white-ish ash and it’s stable. The ash keept itself on all the way till the beginning of the final third.
Smoke: Sometimes it felt like nothing came out other times it was a medium voluminous smoke with a medium heat feel on the tounge.
3rd third: The spicy notes goes away and it resumes to how it was in the first part.
Conclusion: The flavours play in harmony with each other like no other mild to medium cigar. I look forward to see what Tektor has in store for the future.
Result: In my book this is an 88 point cigar.
