Size: 7.25×53, Gran Perfecto.
Wrapper: Chestnut brown, smooth texture with tiny veins.
Construction: A little giving but even when lightly squeezed.
Cold draw: Cedarwood and digestive biscuits.
1st third: Starts with cinnamon, medium roasted coffee, cedarwood and some black tea bitterness.
2nd third: Got tar build up halfway through so had to cut a bit off, otherwise it gets a white pepper spice added. Notes of raisins and chestnuts added towards the end of this part.
Burn: Burns sharp with a firm and stable white ash.
Smoke: Voluminous smoke with a cool feeling on the tongue with a light draw.
3rd third: The bitterness build-up gets intense while retaining notes of chestnuts, white pepper and cedarwood.
Duration: 13:15-15:25, 2h 10min.
Conclusion: A medium bodied cigar with a medium strength profile. Started of enjoyable but quickly took a wrong turn and became bitter and spicy not the most enjoyable over such a big cigar.
Result: In my book this is a 87 point cigar.
