Wrapper: Milk chocolate brown, oily and smooth texture with tiny veins.
Construction: Fairly firm and even feel when lightly squeezed.
Cold draw: Hay, cinnamon, brown sugar and light wood.
1st third: Starts with a light ginger spice on the tongue, brown sugar sweetness, well baked gingerbread and sandalwood.
2nd third: While still retaining the previous flavours a darker note of medium roasted coffee and raw almonds steps forward in this part.
Burn: Burns fairly sharp with a firm and stable white ash.
Smoke: Voluminous smoke with a medium cool feeling on the tongue with a light draw.
3rd third: It livens up a bit with some fresh notes, otherwise it keeps the previous flavours from part 1 and 2 going.
Duration: 14:05-15:55, 1h 50min.
Conclusion: A full bodied cigar with a medium strength profile. Well balanced flavours and beautifully smooth textured smoke. This is a pincher, hard to put this cigar down. The StraightShooter is like a bigger version on the La Doña when it was released back in 2018. So I can expect it to age beautifully.
Result: In my book this is a 95 point cigar.
