Gifted by Darren Coiffi owner of Principle Cigars.
Location: This review was made outdoors during an foggy evening, 12°C. Enjoyed with a cappuccino for keeping me warm and lifting some flavours in the cigar.
Started to rain during the last part.
Wrapper: Milk chocolate brown, silky smooth with tiny veins.
Construction: Firm even feel.
Cold draw: Hay and a slight woody taste.
1st third: The taste that I’m getting is giving me a feeling of when you light a candle with a cedarstick match. It’s autumn, the leaves are falling and you just want to snuggle upp in front of the fireplace.
There is a burning cedarwood, medium roasted coffee and a cane sugar taste.
It’s smooth but still got a little scratch to it.
2nd third: Similar flavours from the first part, a hint of cinnamon but not overtaking just in the background.
The burn: Burns a little wonky but nothing to dramatic. Gray-ish ash. Firm and stable.
Smoke: Voluminous white and has a creamy cool touch to it.
3rd third: Flavours keeps steady all the way through, no bitterness or loss of flavours.
Conclusion: Great construction, flavours and enjoyment. Works perfectly this autumn evening, a little chilly and started raining during the 3rd part. Worked great with my cappuccino aswell.
Result: In my book this is a 90 point cigar.
