1st third: Starts with a cork wood dark but still sour/bitter, earthy cacao and white pepper in the background.
2nd third: Looses the sharp bitter notes, while retaining some earthy cacao, but now with a light wood and wheats base. There still some spice in the background.
Burn: Burns wonky, with a firm but flaky white ash. Never went out, very consistent but never corrected itself sadly.
Smoke: Voluminous smoke, with a warm feeling on the tongue and with a medium light draw.
3rd third: The spice takes center stage, full of dark earthy wood notes and a bit ashy.
Duration: 14:15-15:00, 45 min.
Conclusion: A medium bodied cigar with a medium to full strength profile. Overall not really my taste profile, to blunt and in the face for me. Left a bad taste in the mouth afterwards which isn’t what I was hoping for.
I’ve heard mixed reactions from others so it seems it’s a “either you like it or you don’t”.
Result: In my book this is an 85 point cigar.
