Gifted to me by a friend.
Location: This review was made outdoors, during a rainy day. 14°C, but it felt warmer. I only drank water during the review.
Wrapper: Medium brown shade, tiny veins, smooth but not oily.
Construction: Firm but still a little soft to the touch, evenly filled.
Cold draw: Hay, cacao and apples.
1st third: Smooth, medium roasted coffee with a slight bitterness as aftertaste.
2nd third: Pretty smooth still, a little oak wood note and a touch of hazelnut.
The burn: Burns slowly, close to a sharp burn. Ash is firm all through it looks a little flaky. It doesn’t fall when tapped so it’s pretty stable.
Smoke: Light in texture and cool to the touch.
3rd third: Still smooth, no changes in taste.
Conclusion: Medium, smooth smoke, nothing to impressive.
Result: In my book this is a 87 points cigar.
