562. Jas Sum Kral Söta Kakor Maduro Limited Edition 2021

Gifted by Riste Riatevski, owner of Jas Sum Kral.

Location: This review was made indoors in Mellgrens Fine Tobacco’s cigar lounge.

Information:
Wrapper: Mexican Maduro (aged for 4 years)
Binder: Nicaragua Criollo 98 Ligero
Filler: Nicaragua Condega, Jalapa & Somoto
Factory: Tabacalera de Aragon, Nicaragua.
Limited to 250 boxes of 12 cigars (3000 cigars).

Size: 5.5×48, Toro.

Wrapper: Coffee bean, oily and silky smooth with tiny veins.

Construction: Firm even feel when lightly squeezed.

Cold draw: Light wood note.

1st third: Starts with a molasses sweetness, cinnamon, 60% dark chocolate and oakwood.

2nd third: Hints of nutmeg and medium roasted coffee softly joins the ensamble of Christmas flavours.

Burn: Burns sharp with a firm but not so stable crisp white ash, easy to tip off by accident.

Smoke: Voluminous smoke with a cool feeling on the tongue and a light draw.

3rd third: Flavours are on point from previous parts, but there’s a tiny spice creeping up like regular thin gingerbread with the ginger spice really peaking through. Just delicious.

Duration: 20:35-21:35, 1h.

Conclusion: A full bodied cigar with a medium strength profile. It reminds me of Skåne – Pepparkakor (Scania Gingerbread) dipped in dark chocolate. A truly uplifted version of the Habano that was originally released. Both cigars has the same blend but with different wrappers. Would match great together with a hot chocolate, creamy cappuccino or just by itself near the fireplace.

Result: In my book this is an 95 point cigar.
