Location: This review was made indoors in Mellgrens Fine Tobacco’s cigar lounge.
Information:
Wrapper: Costa Rica
Binder: Costa Rica
Filler: Costa Rica
Size: 5×58, Robusto Gordo.
Wrapper: Coffee bean, oily and silky smooth with tiny veins.
Construction: Firm even feel when lightly squeezed.
Cold draw: Light hay and nutty.
1st third: Starts with a medium roasted coffee, 60% dark chocolate, earthy yet sweet with a slight hint of candied peanut.
2nd third: Keeps the previous flavours with a red pepper spice that actually started a bit in to the first part.
Burn: Burns fairly sharp with a firm and stable but flakey, whiteish ash.
Smoke: Voluminous smoke with a cool feeling on the tongue and a super light draw.
3rd third: No changes in taste and it kept the spice level without an increase towards the end.
Duration: 20:10-21:10, 1h.
Conclusion: A full bodied cigar with a medium strength profile. Marketed as a cigar tailored for women, so if you like full bodied cigar I guess this is for you. There’s an uncomfortable feeling on the lips throughout the cigar, like there’s something on the wrapper provoking it.
Result: In my book this is an 86 point cigar.
