552. Port of Gothenburg Classic Selection Lambertus

Gifted by Anders W. Bengtsson, co-owner of Port of Gothenburg Cigars.

Location: This review was made indoors in Mellgrens Fine Tobacco’s cigar lounge.

Information:
Wrapper: Ecuadorian Connecticut
Binder: Dominican Republic Habano 92
Filler: Corojo, HVA (Habana Vuelta Abajo), Dominican Republic Habano 20/20

Size: 7×42, Lonsdale

Wrapper: Milk chocolate, silky smooth with tiny veins.

Construction: Firm even feel when lightly squeezed.

Cold draw: Hay and manure.

1st third: Starts with a medium roasted coffee, birch wood and toasted bread.

2nd third: Keeps the previous flavours, with a added baking spice of cinnamon and anise.

Burn: Burns sharp, with a firm and stable crisp white ash.

Smoke: Voluminous smoke with a cool feeling on the tongue, with a light draw.

3rd third: Gets a light touch of white pepper spice on the tongue and lips, otherwise it keeps the previous flavours.

Duration: 17:35-19:05, 1h 30 min.

Conclusion: A medium bodied cigar with a medium strength profile. Well balanced with a nice crescendo in the spice department.

Result: In my book this is an 92 point cigar.
