Location: This review was made indoors in Mellgrens Fine Tobacco’s cigar lounge.
Information:
Wrapper: Connecticut Broadleaf
Binder: Dominican Republic Cuban Seed
Filler: Dominican Republic Cuban Seed
Factory: Tabacalera Arturo Fuente
Size: 4.5×50, Petit Robusto.
Wrapper: Coffe bean, rough but with tiny veins.
Construction: Fairly firm when lightly squeezed.
Cold draw: Hay and earthy sweetness.
1st third: Starts with a roasted chestnuts, cacao, oakwood and cinnamon.
2nd third: Keeps the same flavours with a added white pepper spice.
Burn: Burns fairly sharp with a firm and stable white ash. Sadly it had to be re-lit as it was hard to keep the wrapper burning while keeping the ash on.
Smoke: Light smoke with a heat feel on the tongue and a light draw.
3rd third: No changes from previous parts.
Duration: 22:15-23:00, 45 min.
Conclusion: A full bodied cigar with a medium strength profile. If it hadn’t gone out completely in the middle it would have scored higher as the flavours where more pleasant than the natural, but with a wrapper that has problems like that it gets knocked down a peg. Otherwise a good everyday out for a walk cigar.
Result: In my book this is an 86 point cigar.
