429. Hedon Eclatant Short

Gifted by Hedon Cigars.

Location: This review was made indoors in Mellgrens Fine Tobacco’s cigar lounge.

Information:
Wrapper: French
Binder: French
Filler: French

Size: 4×48, Short Robusto.

Wrapper: Coffee bean, oily and silky smooth with tiny veins.

Construction: Firm even feel when lightly squeezed.

Cold draw: Cedarwood.

1st third: Starts with a medium roasted coffee, 80% cacao powder, chestnut and cedarwood in the background.

2nd third: Gets a slight white pepper spice on the tongue, otherwise keeps the same.

Burn: Burns a little wonky with a dark gray firm and unstable ash. Had to re-light it a bunch of times because it just stopped burning while I was drawing.

Smoke: Medium light smoke with a medium to warm heat feeling on the tongue with a medium light draw.

3rd third: Keeps the previous flavours well balanced.

Duration: 19:25-20:15, 50 min.

Conclusion: A medium bodied cigar with a medium strength profile. If it didn’t have all the burn problems it would have scored higher.

Result: In my book this is an 87 point cigar.
