270. San Cristobal de la Habana Collección Habanos 2009 O’Reilly

From my own collection.

Location: This review was made indoors in Mellgrens cigar lounge.

Information: In 2001 Habanos S.A. introduced the Habanos Collection Book Series. It consists of a layout of cigars presented in a special book-shaped humidor.
Numbered Book-shaped Boîte Nature Box of 20 cigars (1,000 made). The ninth release of the Habanos Collection Series.
Tobacco from Cuba.

Size: 6.3×56, Double Robusto.

Wrapper: Milk chocolate, oily and smooth with tiny veins.

Construction: Firm even feel all over when lightly squeezed.

Cold draw: Light biscuit taste and a hint of wood.

1st third: Starts with a soft and smooth taste of shortbread and a cup tea with milk.

2nd third: Keeps it’s previous flavours.

Burn: Burns pretty sharp, a white firm and stable.

Smoke: Light gray smoke, with a cool feeling on the tongue and a light draw.

3rd third: Keeps it’s lovely smooth flavours all the way to the end.

Duration: 16:30-18-30, 2h

Conclusion: A mild bodied cigar with a mild strength profile. It’s lovely just as is, but a cup of tea would be a perfect pairing. 10 year’s have done this a beauty.

Result: In my book this is an 92 point cigar.
