229. Freyja 12 Churchill

Gifted by Emma Viktorsson owner of Freyja Cigars.

Location: This review was made indoors in a cigar lounge.

Wrapper: Darker milk chocolate, oily and silky smooth with tiny veins.

Construction: Firm even feel all over.

Cold draw: Light sweet note.

1st third: Starts with a creamy smooth note like a soft butter on toasted bread. There is a light touch of a herbal flavours like a basil or other fresh green leaf. Kinda reminds me of tortellini with ricotta cheese and spinach with olive oil drizzled over it.

2nd third: Keeps the previous flavours but with some green pepper spice. Getting some hints of pine nuts.

The burn: Burns steady and fairly sharp with a white-ish stable and firm ash.

Smoke: Voluminous white smoke with a medium heat feel on the tongue and a light draw.

3rd third: Gets spicier on the tongue, and a drier feeling covers the lower side of the mouth. Flavour wise fairly similar as previous parts.

Conclusion: A medium bodied cigar with a medium to full strength profile. An interesting flavor experience, unlike anything else I’ve tried before.

Result: In my book this is an 91 point cigar.
