Info: 115 years have passed since Eduardo León Jimenes founded the oldest and most internationally renowned cigar factory in the Dominican Republic, maintaining the values of quality, dedication, effort and perfection that have characterized it since its founding. In commemoration of the date, La Aurora introduces a new cigar, La Aurora 115 Anniversary, in three different editions: 115th Anniversary Edition, 115th Anniversary Limited Edition Belicoso in 3000 boxes and 115th Anniversary Jar Edition Belicoso in a commemoration jar in only 800 jars.

Location: This review was made indoors in a cigar lounge.

Wrapper: Darker milk chocolate, oily and silky smooth with tiny veins.

Construction: Firm even feel all over.

Cold draw: Light note of milk chocolate.

1st third: Starts with a creamy milk chocolate sweetness and a nutty and floral coffee bean note.

2nd third: Keeps the same smooth flavours from part one.

The burn: Burns steady and fairly sharp with a white stable and firm ash.

Smoke: Voluminous white creamy smoke with a cool feeling on the tounge and a light draw.

3rd third: Keeps the smooth and creamy nutty and milk chocolate sweetness from previous parts. The coffee notes keeps in the background. There’s a hint of caramel fudge emerging that rounds out the finish of this great cigar.

Conclusion: A mild to medium bodied cigar with a medium strength profile. A well balanced cigar that would match perfectly with a cup of cappuccino or a cup of hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows.

Result: In my book this is an 95 point cigar.
