Store bought at Mellgrens Fine Tobacco.
Location: This review was made outdoors during an freezing late afternoon. Started with minus 3 degrees Celsius and ended at minus 5.
Wrapper: Dark chocolate, oily and silky smooth wrapper with tiny veins.
Construction: Firm even feel all over.
Cold draw: Oak wood and hay.
1st third: Starts with a dark chocolate note like 60-65%, earthy sweetness and oak wood note in the background.
2nd third: Flavour wise it keeps the same, but with the earthy sweetness stepping forward and the chocolate notes backs down a tad bit. Still with a oakwood note holding the flavours in. There is also a nuttiness giving the cigar a smooth feeling.
The burn: Burns steady and sharp with a white stable and firm ash.
Smoke: Voluminous white smoke with a cool feeling on the tounge and a light draw.
3rd third: Keeps the flavours from the second part, but now with the oakwood at the forefront, then the dark chocolate and finally earth sweetness in the background. This results in a much darker espresso note.
Conclusion: A medium bodied cigar with a medium strength profile. This was maybe not the best circumstance to enjoy this well aged cigar. Still a smooth elegant cigar.
Result: In my book this is an 90 point cigar.
