Wrapper: Milk chocolate brown, rough texture with small protruding veins.
Construction: Fairly firm and even when lightly squeezed.
Cold draw: Chestnut wood.
1st third: Starts with roasted chestnuts, toasted bread, peanuts, oakwood and cinnamon.
2nd third: Gets a pepper spice added other than that fairly unchanged.
Burn: Burns fairly sharp with a firm and stable white ash.
Smoke: Voluminous smoke with a cool feeling on the tongue with a medium light draw.
3rd third: In the final third notes of medium roasted coffee, dried apricots and nutmeg added to the mix.
Duration: 16:20-18:20, 2h.
Conclusion: A medium bodied cigar with a medium strength profile. Interesting smoke, yet fairly unchanged throughout. Also it’s pretty fascinating to try the Zimbabwe tobacco.
Result: In my book this is an 90 point cigar.
