Wrapper: Milk chocolate/hazelnut brown, oily and silky smooth with tiny veins.

Construction: Fairly firm and even when lightly squeezed.

Cold draw: Hay and dried apricots.

1st third: Starts with cashew nuts, sandalwood and nutmeg.

2nd third: Turns more to pistachio nuts, keeps the wood notes, nutmeg, cacao and dried fruits as a sweetness. In the background there is a faint hint of peat resembling a Islay whisky.

Burn: Burns sharp with a firm and stable crisp white ash.

Smoke: Voluminous smoke with a cool feeling on the tongue with a medium light draw.

3rd third: Fairly unchanged, get a tad bit darker while still retaining the previous flavours.

Duration: 13:15-15:05, 1h 50min.

Conclusion: A full bodied cigar with a medium strength profile. Interesting complexity while keeping smooth balance in the flavour department. It’s not one of my favorite Year of from Flor de Selva, but it has its unique spin on a one off release.

Result: In my book this is an 92 point cigar.
