Wrapper: Milk chocolate, toothy texture with small veins.
Construction: Fairly firm and even feel when lightly squeezed.
Cold draw: Dried fruits like mango, figs and apricots. There is also a freshness of mentha leaf and light wood.
1st third: Starts with cacao, toasted rye bread, candied and roasted almonds, nutmeg, cinnamon, dried citrus and pinewood.
2nd third: While keeping previous flavours it introduces some dried citrus and black tea leaf notes.
Burn: Burns fairly sharp, with a firm and stable gray ash for the most part, in the first part it suddenly feel of after 3.5 cm and completely went out. After smoking for a while the ash is not stable at all, very unstable so better to keep the cigar resting away from your clothes.
Smoke: Voluminous smoke with a cool feeling on the tongue with a light draw.
3rd third: No changes to taste, but a white pepper spice is introduced.
Duration: 16:45-17:35, 50 min.
Conclusion: A medium bodied cigar with a light to medium strength profile. Overall a interesting cigar to try as it brings some new flavours to the table, but since the construction is a bit lacking it sadly has to be worked on for later versions of the brand. Taste wise I liked it, I can see the brand could finetune some notes in the blend but it has intrigued me to try other cigars in the brand.
Result: In my book this is an 87 point cigar.
