Gifted by Ramin Poursasghari, owner of YXTobak.
Location: This review was made indoors in Mellgrens Fine Tobacco’s cigar lounge.
Information:
Wrapper: Nicaraguan Habano Maduro
Binder: Honduras
Filler: Nicaragua
Limited to 1000 cigars a year, comes in bundles of 10 cigars.
Size: 6×52, Toro.
Wrapper: Dark roasted coffee bean, oily and silky smooth with tiny veins.
Construction: Firm even feel when lightly squeezed.
Cold draw: Dark chocolate, figs and black pepper.
1st third: Starts with a bitter cacao, dark roasted coffee, toasted bread and old oakwood.
2nd third: Keeps the previous flavours, with a added citrus note like a mandarin with some sweetness.
Burn: Burns fairly sharp with a firm and stable white ash.
Smoke: Medium voluminous smoke with a cool feeling on the tongue and a medium tight draw.
3rd third: The mandarin sweetness gets replaced with honeycomb but faintly in the background of the last part. Still maintaining the same flavours from part 1.
Duration: 13:35-15:20, 1h 45min.
Conclusion: A full bodied cigar with a medium strength profile. It’s definitely an interesting experience, while still keeping a well balanced base note.
Result: In my book this is an 90 point cigar.
