From my own collection.
Location: This review was made indoors in Mellgrens Fine Tobacco’s cigar lounge.
Information:
Wrapper: Brazilian Mata Fina Maduro
Binder: Dominican Republic Criollo
Filler: Nicaraguan & Dominican Republic
Size: 5×52, Robusto.
Wrapper: Coffee bean, oily and silky smooth with tiny veins.
Construction: Fairly firm when lightly squeezed.
Cold draw: Red pepper and dark chocolate.
1st third: Starts with a dark chocolate, espresso, earthy sweetness and red pepper spice.
2nd third: The flavours get pretty bitter, which isn’t a surprise with notes of dark chocolate and espresso.
Burn: Burns sharp with a firm and stable gray ash.
Smoke: Medium voluminous smoke with a medium heat feel on the tongue and a light draw.
3rd third: Reverts back to the same flavours as part 1.
Duration: 20:35-22:05, 1h 30 min.
Conclusion: A full bodied cigar with a full strength profile.
Result: In my book this is an 86 point cigar.
