509. Flor de las Antillas Toro

Location: This review was made indoors in Mellgrens Fine Tobacco’s cigar lounge.

Information:
Wrapper: Nicaragua Sun Grown
Binder: Nicaragua
Filler: Nicaragua

Size: 6.1×54, Toro.

Wrapper: Milk chocolate, smooth with tiny veins.

Construction: Medium soft but even feel when lightly squeezed. Soft boxpressed.

Cold draw: White pepper, cedarwood and hay.

1st third: Starts with a milk chocolate, medium roasted coffee and cedarwood note.

2nd third: Keeps a consistent flavour profile.

Burn: Burns sharp with a firm and stable crisp  white ash.

Smoke: Voluminous smoke with a cool feeling on the tongue and a light draw.

3rd third: Gets a slight white pepper kick added to the previous flavours, but overall a very well balanced cigar.

Duration: 18:45-20:10, 1h 25min.

Conclusion: A medium bodied cigar with a medium strength profile.

Result: In my book this is an 90 point cigar.
