438. Griffin’s Classic No. 500

Location: This review was made indoors in Mellgrens Fine Tobacco’s cigar lounge.

Information:
Wrapper: Ecuadorian Connecticut
Binder: Dominican Republic
Filler: Dominican Republic

Size: 5×42, Corona.

Wrapper: Almond beige, smooth with small veins.

Construction: Fairly firm and even feel when lightly squeezed.

Cold draw: Hay.

1st third: Starts with a smooth medium roasted coffee note, followed by by toasted bread and light white pepper spice.

2nd third: No changes from part 1.

Burn: Burns sharp, with a firm and stable whiteish ash.

Smoke: Voluminous smoke with a medium heat feel on the tongue and a light draw.

3rd third: Keeps it’s flavours from previous parts with a added spice kick on the aftertaste.

Duration: 17:35-18:25, 50 min.

Conclusion: A mild to medium bodied cigar with a mild strength profile.

Result: In my book this is an 90 point cigar.
