400. Casdagli Daughters of the Wind Cremello

Gifted by Jeremy Casdagli, owner of Casdagli Cigars.

Location: This review was made indoors in Mellgrens Fine Tobacco’s cigar lounge.

Information:
Wrapper: Costa Rica.
Binder: Costa Rica.
Filler: Peruvian Pinar & Dominican Caramelo.

Size: 7.5×38, Lancero.

Wrapper: Milk chocolate, oily and silky smooth with tiny veins.

Construction: Firm even feel when lightly squeezed.

Cold draw: Light wood note.

1st third: Starts with a light roasted coffee, sweet pastry and milk chocolate.

2nd third: Gets a hint of nougat and caramel otherwise keeping previous flavours.

Burn: Burns sharp with a firm and stable white ash. Some relights as it easily goes out if not puffed on regularly, this means you can’t put it to the side.

Smoke: Voluminous white smoke with a cool feeling on the tongue and a light draw.

3rd third: Now the caramel really steps forward and take the center stage, followed with a smooth and creamy nougat. The background notes of cinnamon envelops the flavours in a harmonious way.

Duration: 17:05-18:40, 1h 35min.

Conclusion: A mild to medium bodied cigar with a mild strength profile. A truely delicious cigar.

Result: In my book this is an 95 point cigar.
