Location: This review was made indoors in Mellgrens Fine Tobacco’s cigar lounge.
Information:
Wrapper: Broadleaf Maduro.
Binder: Nicaraguan Jalapa.
Filler: USA Pennsylvania & Nicaraguan Condega, Estelí.
Size: 5.5×40, Corona Extra (Generosos).
Wrapper: Dark chocolate, oily and a little rough when feeling it.
Construction: Firm even feel when lightly squeezed.
Cold draw: Hay and a sweet note.
1st third: Starts with a 70% dark chocolate note and a shortbread buttery note.
2nd third: The chocolate note drops down from dark to a milk chocolate note, and has a chocolate biscuit remembrance.
Burn: Burns fairly sharp, with a stable and firm white ash.
Smoke: Light smoke and a cool feeling on the tongue but with a very tight draw.
3rd third: Keeps the same from part 2.
Duration: 12:45-13:45, 1h.
Conclusion: A medium to full bodied cigar with a medium strength profile.
Result: In my book this is an 90 point cigar.
