379. Perdomo Small Batch 2005 Series Half Corona Maduro

Supplied by Mellgrens Fine Tobacco.

Location: This review was made indoors in Mellgrens Fine Tobacco’s cigar lounge.

Information:
Wrapper: Nicaraguan Maduro.
Binder: Nicaragua.
Filler: Nicaragua.
10 year aged tobacco, wrapper aged in bourbon barrels.

Size: 4×46, Half Corona.

Wrapper: Coffee bean, oily and smooth with tiny veins.

Construction: Firm even feel when lightly squeezed.

Cold draw: Hay and a sweet note.

1st third: Starts with a espresso bitter note on the palette, oak wood and a earthy sweetness.

2nd third: No changes so far.

Burn: Hasty but fairly sharp burn with a firm whiteish ash.

Smoke: Voluminous white smoke with a cool feeling on the tongue and a light draw.

3rd third: Gets a little black pepper spice on the tongue otherwise it keeps its previous flavours from part 1.

Duration: 16:35-17:35, 1h.

Conclusion: A medium to full bodied cigar with a medium strength profile.

Result: In my book this is an 90 point cigar.
