361. Marzio Corona Gorda

Gifted by Giovanni Monaca, from Sigaro Toscano.

Location: This review was made indoors in Mellgrens cigar lounge.

Information:

Collaboration between Sigaro Toscano and La Aurora Cigars.

Wrapper: US Kentucky Extra Dark Fire Cured.
Binder: Sumatra Dark Air Cured.
Filler: 33% US Kentucky Dark Fire Cured, 33% Dominican Olor Seco & 33% Nicaraguan Viso.

Size: 6×47, Corona Gorda.

Wrapper: Coffee bean, oily and rough with protruding veins.

Construction: Fairly firm and even feel when lightly squeezed.

Cold draw: Shared wood, smoked meat and black pepper.

1st third: Starts with notes of oakwood, black pepper and earth.

2nd third: No changes.

Burn: Burns slowly, wonky and goes out quite often, it also has a fragile but firm white ash.

Smoke: Medium light smoke with a warm feeling on the tongue and a medium light draw.

3rd third: Not as intense flavours, more just shared oak.

Duration: 18:10-19:10, 1h.

Conclusion: A medium to full bodied cigar with a full strength profile.

Result: In my book this is an 85 point cigar.
