312. Trinidad LCDH La Trova 2017

Gifted by Luis Orlando Alvarez, Commercial Manager at Habanos Nordic.

Location: This review was made indoors in Mellgrens cigar lounge.

Trinidad is a current brand, established post-Revolution in 1969, and was commercially launched in 1997.

The range comprises medium strength cigars, using tobacco from the best areas of the premium Vuelta Abajo region in Cuba.
Semi Boite Nature Box of 12 cigars.

Size: 6.5×52, Double Robusto (Cañonzao Especial T)

Wrapper: Milk chocolate, oily and silky-smooth with tiny veins.

Construction: Firm even feel when lightly squeezed.

Cold draw: Cedarwood and wheat.

1st third: Starts with a wheat biscuits, cedarwood and hazelnut smooth note.

2nd third: Keeps the same pretty much, with a light spicy note in the background.

Burn: Burns fairly sharp with a firm and stable white ash.

Smoke: Voluminous white smoke with a cool feeling on the tongue and a medium light draw.

3rd third: Flavourwise it’s pretty much the same, but with a heavier tone of roasted rye bread and cedarwood.

Duration: 21:30-23:10, 1h 40min.

Conclusion: A medium bodied cigar with a medium strength profile.

Result: In my book this is an 91 point cigar.
