From my own collection.

Location: This review was made indoors in Mellgrens cigar lounge.

Hoyo de Monterrey is a current pre-Revolution brand, established in 1865.
The range comprises light strength cigars, using tobacco from the premium Vuelta Abajo region in Cuba.
Handmade, then aged for 5 – 8 years.
Dress Box of 25 cigars, 2015 release.

Size: 5×48, Corona Extra (Hermosos No.4).

Wrapper: Nutty, oily and silky-smooth with tiny veins.

Construction: Firm even feel when lightly squeezed.

Cold draw: Very light taste of cedarwood.

1st third: Starts with a very creamy cream cheese note, light wood and brioche bun.

2nd third: Keeps the same smooth taste.

Burn: Burns sharp, with a white stable and firm ash.

Smoke: Light smoke, cool feeling on the tongue and a medium light draw.

3rd third: No changes, just smooth.

Duration: 22:20-23:15, 55 min.

Conclusion: A mild bodied cigar with a mild strength profile.

Result: In my book this is an 89 point cigar.
