Location: This review was made indoors in Mellgrens cigar lounge.
Information: La Galera 80th Anniversary is made to celebrate the Tabacalera Palms factory that celebrates 80 Years. Made in a limited number of 4000 boxes.
Tobacco from Dominican Rep and Mexico.
Size: 6 1/8×52, Torpedo Boxpressed
Wrapper: Coffee bean, oily but rough feel, with slightly protruding veins.
Construction: Firm even feel when lightly squeezed.
Cold draw: Hay.
1st third: Starts with a dark roasted coffee, oak wood and earthy sweetness.
2nd third: Keeps it’s previous flavours with an added touch of dark chocolate.
Burn: Firm even white ash, with a sharp burn.
Smoke: Medium voluminous smoke with a medium heat feel on the tongue and a light draw.
3rd third: Keeps it’s flavours from part 2.
Duration: 12:40-14:05, 1h 25min
Conclusion: A full bodied cigar with a medium to full strength profile.
Result: In my book this is an 87 point cigar.
