Gifted by Gaby Kafie, owner of Kafie 1901 Cigars.
Location: This review was made indoors in a cigar lounge.
Wrapper: Dark milk chocolate, oily and smooth feel with tiny veins.
Construction: Firm even feel.
Cold draw: Hay and dark wood note.
1st third: Starts with a dark chocolate, earthy sweetness and oak wood note, there is also a nutty note lingering in the roof of my mouth.
2nd third: A white pepper note tingles my taste buds very so slightly, otherwise the flavours keeps the same.
The burn: Burns steady and fairly sharp with a white stable and firm ash.
Smoke: Voluminous white smoke with a medium heat feel on the tounge and a light draw.
3rd third: Towards the end it’s mostly dark but still milky chocolate and oak wood.
Conclusion: A medium to full bodied cigar with a medium strength profile. This would match perfectly with a dark rum or a whisky. Also great with a cup of coffee.
Result: In my book this is an 90 point cigar.
