205. Cavalier Genève Black II Toro Gordo

Sponsored by Cigar Journal.

Location: This review was made indoors in a cigar lounge.

Wrapper: Dark chocolate, oily and silky smooth with tiny veins.

Construction: Firm but still a little giving when lightly squeezed. Boxpressed.

Cold draw: Wood, matured hay.

1st third: Starts with a medium to dark roasted coffee, darker milk chocolate 50-60% and a nutty finish.

2nd third: Keeps the same flavour profile from before.

The burn: Burns steady and fairly sharp with a white-ish stable and firm ash.

Smoke: Voluminous white smoke with a cool feeling on the tounge and a light draw.

3rd third: Gets a stronger note of dark roasted coffee, but otherwise the flavours are the same from previous parts.

Conclusion: A medium bodied cigar with a medium strength profile. Very enjoyable even though it was a very big cigar. Nice draw and good taste all the way.

Result: In my book this is an 90 point cigar.
