Gifted by Heiko Poerz, owner of HENK MAORI HAKA & HENK Luxury Suitcases.
Info: Limited to 200 lambskin travel humidors with 6 cigars in each box. There is also 300 refill boxes available with 10 cigars in each box. Each cigar is priced at €36.
Location: This review was made indoors in a cigar lounge.
Wrapper: Milk chocolate, oily and silky smooth with near to invisible veins, I can’t barley feel where the leaves meet. Triple cap for those interested.
Construction: Firm even feel all over.
Cold draw: Light cedarwood notes and hay.
1st third: Starts with a sweetness and cedarwood note, followed by a salty almond note.
2nd third: The sweetness turns to a milk chocolate creaminess, there is still a cedarwood note spicy note and a lightly roasted almonds with a salty note.
The burn: Burns steady with a white stable and firm ash.
Smoke: Voluminous white smoke with a cool feeling on the tongue and a light draw.
3rd third: Keeps the same flavours from part 2 all the way to the end.
Conclusion: A medium bodied cigar with a medium strength profile. Perfect enjoyable cigar. It is a Churchill size and it never got boring, full of good flavours. I would recommend enjoying this cigar with a smooth cognac, a rum without added sugar or a good bourbon.
Result: In my book this is an 94 point cigar.
