168. 1502 Ruby Torpedo

Gifted by Peter Gaudenzi, 1502 Cigars European Market Director.

Location: This review was made indoors in a cigar lounge.

Wrapper: Darker milk chocolate, oily and silky smooth with tiny veins.

Construction: A little spongy feel but still firmly packed.

Cold draw: Hay and milk chocolate.

1st third: Starts with a nutty, oak wood note with a light spice hint in the back.

2nd third: Keeps the same but with an overall sweetness coating the previous flavours.

The burn: Burns steady and sharp with a white stable ash.

Smoke: Voluminous white smoke with a cool feeling on the tounge. Medium draw.

3rd third: Keeps the same notes from the second part. Nutty oak wood with a sweetness rounding it off. A hint of spices lingers on the tounge but nothing to spicy.

Conclusion: A medium bodied cigar with a medium strength profile. Perfect as an late afternoon smoke.

Result: In my book this is an 90 point cigar.
