157. Montecristo Linea 1935 Dumas

Store bought at Mellgrens Fine Tobacco.

Location: This review was made indoors in a cigar lounge.

Wrapper: Milk chocolate, silky smooth with tiny veins.

Construction: Firm but still a giving feel.

Cold draw: Hay and oak wood.

1st third: Starts of with a dark roasted coffee, clear dry oak wood notes and a hint of cinnamon in the background.

2nd third: Smoothens out with a creamy 60% milk chocolate and there is still a oak wood note.

The burn: Burns slowly and fairly sharp with a white-ish ash.

Smoke: Voluminous white smoke with a medium heat feel on the tounge.

3rd third: Keeps the flavours from part 2 with the re-entry of the spicy cinnamon from part one re-appearing.

Conclusion: An enjoyable cigar, sadly not as good as it’s bigger brothers Maltes and Leyenda. Medium strength with a medium bodied taste. This cigar fits better as an after lunch or early afternoon smoke.

Result: In my book this is an 89 point cigar.
